Step 1
Receiving
Fresh mussels, any size or shape, are received, rinsed and inspected.
Step 2
CRUSHING & TUMBLING
The mussels are mechanically opened and tumbled, releasing a liquid mussel lysate — 100% mussel, nothing else.
Step 3
Separation
The lysate is separated from the shells and drained into a holding tank, where the remaining shell residue settles out.
Step 4
Drying & finishing
Delivered as flakes or milled into a shelf-stable powder, depending on customer preference.
